Adjusting Techniques in Waterloo

Chiropractic Waterloo IA Back Pain Spine Education

All of our Doctors received their Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Trained by world-class faculty, each Doctor at Vanderloo Chiropractic Clinic is well-versed in what is known throughout the profession as the "Palmer Package of Adjusting Techniques." Each Doctor has their own technique, and tailors it to the patients' needs and desires.

Some patients respond favorably to specific, gentle forms of adjusting with the use of the impulse and-or the activator instrument. These instruments apply a gentle pressure to the body in a specific way, in which the vertebrae or the bony structures in the ribs, shoulders, knees and spine are aligned.

Other patients respond favorably to manual manipulation of the spine, in which techniques such as Diversified, Thompson, Blair and Gonstead techniques may be used. These techniques are used by placing hands on the spine or other articulations and applying quick and gentle pressure in a specific manual way of adjusting.

Whatever your Doctor decides to use works! Chiropractic is a science and art in which you will never see two Chiropractors adjust exactly the same. It is an individual technique profession, and we are proud to say that we have some of the finest technicians, as to Chiropractic adjusting, at Vanderloo Chiropractic Clinic.

Always communicate with your Chiropractor on which method you prefer. Some patients love the gentle specific techniques and others prefer the manual manipulation of the spine. And there are others that prefer a little of both techniques.
